V4YAV youth community consultant – IMPACT project

Hours:  Up to 15 hours per week  Wage: £10.20 per hour (equivalent to London Living Wage) Report to: Education Access Officer 

Background context:

 V4YAV are running a impact project, using the strengths and skills of young people to explore the needs and interests of young people in the borough and to increase youth wellbeing. 

We are seeking individuals aged 16-25 for a part-time, paid commitment to help us shape the project to benefit the community.  This developmental role will be an opportunity to gain and/or develop skills for yourself and positively contribute to your community.

Key responsibilities:

- Work with the IMPACT team and other young people to support building relationships within the community and find out their needs and interests. 

-  Work on your own individual goals and interests important to you. 

- Contribute to developing activities, ideas, and designs for projects and administrative work.  

In a meaningful way to you, we hope that through working within the team you will have achieved:   

· A step forward for any educational and work goals important to you 

· Gain professional paid work experience to add to your CV  

· Using your strengths and skills to make a difference for others 

· Meaningfully took part in projects and developed a range of  skills
